    Start the day actively

After breakfast, step straight into the woods for a hike. Spot the Scottish highlanders or rent a bike to explore the more than 200 kilometers of trails.

    Then onto the water

Time for action! Rent a canoe or paddleboat and explore the Bosbaan from the water. Find a quiet spot on the shore for a picnic or take a refreshing dip in the natural water.

    End the day in style

Catch a unique performance at the atmospheric Bostheater, enjoy dinner in the heart of Amsterdam or dive into the city's vibrant nightlife.

Adventure for little explorers

The Amsterdamse Bos is one big natural playground where children are in charge. Leave the tablets in the lodge and put on your hiking boots for the Beleefpad, where children playfully learn all about nature. For the real water rats, there are several children's pools and play islands to romp around for hours, while the animal pastures and farms are the perfect place to cuddle with animals.

For the whole family:

  • Playgrounds & Islands
  • Children's pools & swimming areas
  • The Experience Path
  • Farms & animal pastures

Lovely on the edge of the Amsterdam forest. We had a dog with us, so ideal for walking! And yet close to Amsterdam
