Walk up dunes, down dunes, across vast open plains and through rare dune oak forests. The dune landscape National Park Zuid-Kennemerland covers four estates once owned by Amsterdam merchants who used this area as hunting grounds. In the dunes, World War II bunkers tell of the war past. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled: this is also the habitat of fallow deer, Scottish Highlanders and Konik horses, among others.
