What is there to do in the area?
Cycling and walking routes
There are different cycling and/or walking routes to discover in the area of EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos. Be inspired, choose the best one and go out into nature together!
Amsterdam
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands with its many canals, museums and markets. Admire Rembrandt's Night Watch in the Rijksmuseum, step inside the Van Gogh Museum or discover Anne Frank's hiding place. If you are in Amsterdam for the first time, a nostalgic canal cruise should of course not be missed. You can go shopping in the 9 streets (de 9 Straatjes), the Kalverstraat or the P.C. Hooftstraat.
Boat rental
Find the perfect boat for your day out. At Boat rental Amsterdam (Boot Huren Amsterdam) you can rent a luxury boat including a private skipper for groups of 2 to 600 people. From a classic saloon boat to a contemporary sloop.
Zuid-Kennemerland National Park
Walk up dunes, down dunes, across vast open plains and through rare dune oak forests. The dune landscape National Park South-Kennemerland covers four estates that were once owned by Amsterdam merchants who used this area as a hunting ground. In the dunes, the bunkers from the Second World War tell of the war's past. Meanwhile, keep your eyes open: this is also the habitat of fallow deer, Scottish highlanders and konik horses, among others.

The park is beautifully landscaped and quiet despite being close to the airport. The houses are beautifully colorful and beautifully lit at night.

The city of Amsterdam is easily accessible by bicycle. I recommend driving through the park by car, it is less stressful.

Peace and nature
City Camping Het Amsterdamse Bos offers the perfect middle ground that suits every type of vacationer: at the campsite, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature and in no time you are on the lively Museumplein. The park is hidden between tall trees, water and Scottish Highlanders, which is a very special experience. Camping in a tent, camper or caravan makes this experience truly complete. And for those who prefer the comforts of home, we also have vacation homes. In the Amsterdamse Bos, but also outside of Amsterdam, you can enjoy cycling and walking in the vast polders and beautiful forests.
Culture and city
Culture and city
There is so much culture and history to discover in Amsterdam with a canal cruise, the numerous museums and impressive canal houses. With the children, you can spend a day in the capital visiting Artis Zoo or the impressive Science Museum NEMO. You also won't get bored easily in the vicinity of Amsterdam, with for example the Zaanse Schans, the cheese city Alkmaar and the archetypal Dutch fishing village Volendam. While you're here to soak up culture, be sure to visit the world-famous stilt houses of Marken, which were built in the battle against the water.

Our park is located under the smoke of Schiphol Airport. As a result, you may sometimes be disturbed by low-flying aircraft.
